The following images were taken from an email sent by a friend from Malaysia. I cannot verify the authenticity of these images, but assuming they are in fact true… what exactly do they need that column for? Any comments?

A very interesting video. Few lessons to be learned.
1. Do not stay around and gloat at your victim.
2. United we stand, Divided we fall.

Cancer – The Final Chapter

Thursday, July 5th, 2007

I woke up this morning feeling unwell and cold. I thought i was sick so I turned on my electric blanket and slept for just a little bit longer, hitting the snooze button every 10 minutes from 11am to 1pm when i finally got up when my bed got too hot. Feeling miserable I went to the bathroom to wash up. I’ve no idea why but I was thinking about my aunt in Taiwan and wondering how is she now. Thought of calling tonight to find out as I’ve to be at work in 2 hours time.

Then I went to make my lunch. Whilst waiting for the oven to heat up, i received a message from my dad saying that my aunt passed away this morning. I was stunned. I’ve been expecting this message as the doctors did not gave her very long to live. Even though it was expected, it didn’t make the pain any less. Then it rained. Denise told me that someone told her that when a good person passed on, the heavens cry with you. I guess it made sense.

I told myself, in the end, it is for the better. She shouldn’t have to suffer any more than necessary. This release of pain would be the greatest give from God. I believe that death reminds us how mortal we are. It reminds us to not forget the living, to care and treasure them while we can, for in the end, we will pass on.

“Live as if your were to die tomorrow.
Learn as if you were to live forever.”
- Gandhi

Thanks everyone for the kind words and prayers. I really appreciate it.

Jealous Lesbian

Wednesday, July 4th, 2007

Jealous Lesbian
So there i was taking my break in the staff room at work, then in came my Dialysis Unit Manager (DUM), Senior Products Manager (SPM) and another manager (AM). At first it was a normal conversation about work, then it turn in to pub talk. DUM saying her husband’s an asshole because they were discussing about kids finding out that their parents aren’t their biological father etc ( I wasn’t really paying attention till she said asshole). Then it descended into references of female and male genitalia…. then came lesbian couples wanting to have a baby.

So the story (true story that is according to AM) is like this. This lesbian couple, friends of AM, wanted to have a baby. So they asked their gay friend to donate his sperm to lesbian X. Lesbian X got pregnant. Then Lesbian Y got jealous because she wanted to get pregnant too…… I’ve nothing more to say. Speechless.

Advice

Gildor Inglorion:
‘I do not like this news. That Gandalf should be late does not bode well. But it is said: Meddle not in the affairs of Wizards for they are subtle and quick to anger. The choice is yours. To go or to wait.’

Frodo Baggins:
‘And it is also said, go not to the Elves for counsel, for they will say both no and yes.’

Gildor Inglorion:
‘Is it indeed? Elves seldom give unguarded advice, for advice is a dangerous gift, even from the wise to the wise, and all courses may run ill.’

- The Lord of the Rings, J.R.R. Tolkien

In these few weeks, many have come to me seeking counsel and confiding secrets in me. Sometimes it makes me feel like an old wise men, holding a gnarled staff in one hand and a thick book in the other, sitting under the tree on a rock, atop the mountain…… This is not the first time it has happened. Don’t get me wrong. I’m more than glad to lend a listening ear and help solve their problems as I do take joy in it. However as i grow older and more matured, i find myself very reluctant to give advice, as i fear that if they act on my advice, i may lead them down to the path of destruction. Nevertheless i shall endeavor to provide the best advice. Just take note that I’m no Isaac Mendez who can paint the future.
